Jake Washer joined Giant Development as a Project Engineer in December 2024. Before starting his career in construction, he spent five years playing professional baseball with the Chicago Cubs, reaching AAA, and also worked as an electrician. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from East Carolina University and is certified in Excel.

In his role, Jake focuses on improving methods for tracking labor, equipment, and materials to boost efficiency and streamline communication between the office and job sites. Known for his positive attitude, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, Jake is committed to delivering results and driving success.

A recent Raleigh transplant, Jake enjoys chess, golf, fishing, hunting, and outdoor activities. As a former standout athlete, he was the MOP of the 2019 Greenville Regional and an All-Conference AAC player. Jake’s motto, “Keep your hopes high and your head low,” reflects his dedication and grounded approach to both work and life.
