Matt Chapin joined Giant Development as Land Director in May 2025, bringing nearly two decades of experience in construction and land development. His career includes leadership roles at some of the industry’s top homebuilders, including PulteGroup, Standard Pacific, CalAtlantic, and Lennar. After serving as Director of Operations for Lennar’s Triad division, Matt led landscape operations at Pinnacle Contracting Services before coming to Giant.

At Giant, Matt oversees land operations and customer relations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet the needs of all stakeholders. He’s known for his ability to prioritize effectively, align teams around shared goals, and maintain a solutions-focused approach—even in high-pressure environments.

Matt earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds both a NASCLA General Contractors License and OSHA 30 certification. A Raleigh resident since 2003, he enjoys coaching and playing hockey, hiking, reading, and spending time with his two sons.
